The Spartan version was typically only centimetres. This Japanese naval dirk is simply stunning it has everything you want in a naval dirk. I recommend this encyclopedia of knives to anyone looking for an interesting read. This type of sword had a thickened back to the blade opposite the cutting edgewhich gave the blade strength. I know because I own about 20 of these navals and I am just not finding them any more like this. This is a very nice Imperial Japanese naval dirk.

This 2nd model luft came with a large grouping I recently bought in Seattle WA. This dagger came with a small grouping I bought from the son of the vet who brought it home. Don't miss out! Item CS Dagger blade contains the logo of the company at the ricasso at the backside of the dagger. The condition of this knife is very nice! The handle contains the Hitler Youth flag: a red-and-white diamond with a swastika sign at the center.

The back spring as you can see from the pictures is broken but the over all condition is very nice. The hangers are in nice condition and have aluminum fittings.
